Top seed Roger Federer was crushed by No.2 seed Rafael Nadal for the third consecutive time in Monte-Carlo finals. Roger Federer was not able to take advantage of the two early break in the second set and Nadal superb ground stroke level back the score and eventually won the championship 7-5, 7-5 in 103mins. World No.2 Rafael Nadal indeed lives up to his clay court king title winning his fourth consecutive Monte-Carlo Masters Series title this year.
