Pacific Life Open in Indian Wells was an all Serbian affair for both ATP and WTA Singles. World No.3 Novak Djokovic spoils the American dream of getting his ATP Masters title. This is the first Pacific Life Open title for Djokovic and also adds up to a two times career win over Mardy Fish. Novak Djokovic was brought to a three-set match by unseeded Mardy Fish and fired off 10 aces which help him to win the match 6-2, 5-7, 6-3. Mardy Fish also moved up to No.40 South African Airways ATP Rankings with his impressive effort to reach the finals.
Another Serbian lady World No.2 Ana Ivanovic also did not disappoint her Serbian supporters defeating World No.3 Svetlana Kuznetsova 6-4, 6-3 to make her the first Serbian woman to hold the Indian Wells title.
That sums up the 2008 Pacific Life Open in Indian Wells and Sony Ericsson Open in Miami is the next upcoming Masters Series which I will not miss.
